The World of Rubik Chess

Erno Rubik (inventor of the Rubik’s Cube) and Judit Polgar (Hungarian Chess Grandmaster) came together to hold the first ever ‘Rubik Chess’ tournament on September 30^th.

In Rubik Chess, players work in teams with one partner being the chess player and the other taking on the roll of Rubik’s Cube solver.

During the 10-minute chess match, play is randomly interrupted, and the partner responsible for the Rubik’s Cube must solve it. The chess clock continues to tick, and the chess player cannot make a move until the 3x3 cube is completed.
