Private Lessons

Private lessons are not required for success in the chess world, but there is no coincidence that most of the scholastic, national, and international tournament champions have had the help of one or more private tutors at some point during their chess careers. A private chess coach will give your child the opportunity to ask questions, work on specific aspects of their game, and play advanced chess while receiving the full attention of one of our qualified instructors. Because of the one-on-one setting, students taking private lessons typically improve their chess skills very rapidly. There are many scholarships available for students through USCF, Illinois Chess Association, and others- if you think your child is ready to compete in some of these events, or simply loves chess and wants to get better, arranging for a private lesson might be the best option for you.
